Michael Reid Gallery - Flametree at Murrurundi

One of Australia’s most prominent art dealers and lecturers Michael Reid will be hosting a special music day with Australian Country Style Magazine this spring at Murrurundi, in the Upper Hunter Valley NSW.
This afternoon will use the stunning acoustics of the convict built sandstone gallery to full effect with performances by Heidi Jones (piano) and James Beck (cello). The program will include some of the most passionate and exciting 19th century music by Mendelssohn, Debussy and Caesar Franck and discussion about the circumstances and artistic context of the composers and their music.
Heidi Jones was educated at the Royal Academy of Music, London and Canberra School of Music whilst James is a member of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra. Together they have played at music festivals throughout Europe and Australia.
The concert will be preceded by lunch.
